Who We Are

Meet with Matt

Meet with Mike

Matt Peterson and Mike Simmons founded Granite Peak to help companies navigate hardware development, while creating a business that treats all people (clients, employees, partners, suppliers, and the community) equally well. They both embraced these values at Lunar Design where they met and first worked together providing product design and engineering services to clients large and small.

Today, they each represent a unique blend of expertise and experience across business, design and engineering. Matt earned design and engineering degrees from the University of Michigan, was a company leader at Lunar Design, and has led countless successful teams and projects at McKinsey. Mike earned an engineering degree from Stanford and an MBA from MIT Sloan, and he has led development teams at Google, Playground, and a number of startups. Together, they have created Granite Peak to bring this deep experience, expertise and hardware leadership to you.

Why the name? Granite Peak happens to be the tallest mountain in Montana, and the words also represent important values:
